The advantage of synthetic panels is that they will last for 20 years, are pre-fire retarded, UV resistant and are light enough to handle effectively on a roof. Synthetic thatch panels are more expensive than natural thatch panels, but in the long term are more economical and last for 20 years. Synthetic thatch panels have no maintenance or replacement during the 20 years, whereas the natural thatch panels will have to be replaced 2-3 times during this time. Cost and inconvenience make the Synthetic thatch panel the ideal product for long term thatching needs.

Synthetic thatch must be installed on a waterproofed sub roof. It is maintenance free and UV and fire protected.
